Who runs this site
This site is a research and visual anthropology project by Cătălin D. Constantin, University of Bucharest. For any question about your data, write to catalin.constantin@litere.unibuc.ro.
What data is processed
The site has no accounts, comments, forms or newsletter, and it shows no advertising. On each visit, our hosting provider (Gazduire.Net, Romania) records the technical data every web server records: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type. It is kept for the security and running of the site. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Visit statistics
Visits are counted with Jetpack Stats, a service of Automattic Inc. We receive totals only: pages read, countries, referring sites. We use them to see which parts of the project are read, not to identify anyone.
Cookies
The site stores one small cookie, which remembers the language you chose. Counting visits does not use cookies. The site stores nothing else on your device.
Images and video
Some images are delivered through the Jetpack image network (i0.wp.com), run by Automattic, which receives your IP address when an image loads. The film on the home page is embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube (Google) also receives your IP address when the video loads.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, for its correction or deletion, object to its processing and lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (dataprotection.ro) or the authority in your own country. The only data we may hold about you is the email you send us; we use it only to reply.
